Online poker grew too fast. There wasn’t time for legislative framework to be put in place and now governments want a piece of the pie. In the short term it sucks that growth will be stifled but, legislation is necessary to bring poker to the masses. In a couple of years time we will probably see poker platforms that cater to customers accross a few countries but, this kind of infrastructure takes time.
When poker is licenced in the US it will be intra-state and not on a federal level.
