Waiting for the SVB charity poker tournament to start last night…

Jeff Loomans and the Sierra team had special super-intimidating t-shirts made up for the event. Jeff also had a mace (the medieval spiked ball and chain) hanging from his belt. His bigger tools did the trick, as he went on to beat everyone from our team.

Update: This just in. JLo’s great performance was not enough to win it for the team. The winner of the NVCA Chairman’s Cup was….. Team DFJ. I was asleep by then. The top individual was Rob McIntyre of CMEA Ventures, and he gets a seat at the 2005 WPT Invitational.

This was my trophy from when my beloved softball team won the tournament when I was, like, 11 years old. And my Dad hot-glued a poker chip to it! Blasphemy!
