Question by Wierdo: Are there walk away tournaments in Texas Hold ‘Em poker?
I am about to graduate from college and I’m 17. I should start working in no later than 2 months. I am thinking about learning to play poker in the meantime (until im 21 and can play in tournaments). I was wondering if there were any budgeting ideas (i.e. getting my first apt, car, insurance, student loans, ect) Thus i want to play poker (eventually) and get some extra cash. I dont think I could win more than I put in unless I could walk away from the table at any time. Are there any and what are the names of them?? ** Don’t forget budgeting ideas if you have them!! Thanks!!**

No clue what you are talking about…
You can’t start a poker tournament then walk away. That’s called a “cash game” or “ring game”, where you sit with your money and walk away when you want. In a tournament, you pay a buy-in, and get tournament chips (which have no cash value), and then play until you win or get knocked out.
Budgeting ideas? For life? Here’s one… don’t count on poker to supplement your income. More than likely you are going to lose money.
